The first 200 lines.
All right, so we're gonna go in.
Are you rollin'? Yeah, I'm rollin'.
Sweet.
So we're gonna go in,
meet these guys.
They're, they tend to be.
Open. They're nice,
but let's just, like, catch them fast
because they tend to be really busy, all right?
Okay, here we go. I love that video
on the home page. Hello.
Hey! Hey, guys,
I wanna introduce you to my,
my intern mark.
Mark, this is Chris over there.
This is Tom. How ya doin'?
Oh hi, Tom, Mark. Nice to meet you.
Intern, that means we're not payin' ya.
Right? No, he's in college.
Hi there. Uh, Chris, right?
Yeah, what's your... Mark.
Mark. We're doin' this.
We're startin' this now?
We're gonna do it. Oh God.
Got the camera, showed up early,
and so I figured we should just...
Jump right in? Start in your office,
kinda like with the two of you.
Right where the company kinda like, you know,
was born, right? Yeah!
Yeah, so... What if we have
to go to the bathroom?
Is he gonna come in with us?
He's gonna follow you into the bathroom.
And wherever else you want.
I just wanna fix this collar before we start
'cause I feel like this is the fashion stuff
we've been talking about. This is gonna make
the difference, I see. Yes, we have to make you
look cool.
Okay.
All right, buddy.
Okay, just, like, talk about Gigaler.
Sure. And just, like,
what's the pitch of... Okay, ready?
Here it is, this is for the investors.
There are tons of media sites out there.
Okay, what makes Gigaler different?
There are sites like YouTube
where you'll watch a video
on, on one thing,
how to, how to set up a video camera.
You only need that video once.
The next time you go to YouTube,
it's got five more videos on how to set up
a, a camera.
You don't need that.
Here's what we're doing with Gigaler.
We're setting up an algorithm,
a, a piece of software,
that'll know what you wanna see
based on what you've seen before,
based on your buying habits.
We're tracking everything.
Based on your votes on videos,
your reviews on videos.
the media, the news, the video content
is going to be exactly what you want.
the more Gigaler knows you.
Here we go.
You're here.
Uh, why don't you tell us about
how you guys met.
Uh, we met at a place
called DMV Easy. Easy.
That's right, baby.
It was, uh, you know, it was supposed to make the DMV,
it was supposed to streamline the DMV process.
And what it did is,
I think it turned into the web equivalent
of standing in line at the DMV.
Well, it was just a website that people dreaded
going to and couldn't wait to leave.
Exactly.
And we both started hating our job at the same time.
We'd leave work together
and we'd kind of commiserate.
We were, like, you know, we should do something together.
We should, you know, for fun.
And so that's kind of where, uh, uh,
uh, Gigaler started.
Was just the two of us, um,
getting drunk together, uh,
searching the web for, for shit
that would make each other laugh.
Get this on camera.
We should say that, you know,
we share space, uh, with another, we, another company,
and so this is not all our offices, um.
We have a lot of office space here,
but we do share it with another company,
just so you know. Yeah.
We're gonna take it over at some point though.
Yeah, we will. We'll take it over.
We'll have the whole building, yeah.
Go, five.
Show this, this is cool.
Yep. And here it is.
Like, what, what's one word
that you would use to describe Tom?
Fierce.
Yes, that's like a gay word. It's a gay word?
Yeah, in the gay community,
we all, you're so fierce.
Well you know, we, we've been hanging out,
so I've been learning. I know,
you've been influenced. Uh, I,
yeah, no, he is,
he is, you know, he is the guy
that gets things done.
I mean, God, look where we,
look where we wound up.
I, I don't know how much you wanna share,
but I think you should try to share as much as you can
so that, like, we can, you know,
edit out what you don't feel comfortable
sharing. Okay.
So, um, you moved to Cleveland
because of the divorce. Yeah.
Well I moved back to Cleveland.
I'm originally from here.
Uh, went out, uh, to the west coast,
got married, and, yes, I did come back.
Due to the divorce,
but, you know, it's kind of a double thing.
I, I was gonna stay in Silicon Valley,
working at DMV Easy with Chris.
Uh, but then we started running ads,
and we started making money,
and, you know, then, then things became real.
Do you wanna talk about your kids?
No, no, no, not right now.
I mean, you know, I have two fantastic kids,
but I don't think that's, uh, you know,
that's part of something that we should put on film.
Yeah, so what,
what do you think is like your,
your philosophy on life?
"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority,
"it is time to pause and reflect."
Mark Twain.
So, yeah, um,
I just don't, uh,
I just don't ever wanna be in the majority.
Um,
I think that I have something to offer,
and when I see too many people
surrounding me,
I know that it's a sign that I should, uh,
put my talents elsewhere
because there's something new that needs
to be developed that people aren't looking at yet.
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
That's something that I've always lived by.
You know, I have a thing on my wall,
on my office wall,
um, from John D. Rockefeller.
But he says, um,
"I was really taught to work as well as play.
"My life has been one long, happy holiday,
"full of work and full of play."
Here's the important line.
"I lost the worry on the way.
"And God was good to me every day."
And this is our fun area.
This is, you know, other accouterments,
Golden Tee, pool table, and, of course,
Foosball.
This is Chris' throne. Champ.
I prefer red personally.
But, uh, you know, that's just how I like to do it.
If you take a break from your day
and you do something like this,
you are more productive at the end of the day
than working straight through.
So, like a half-hour, we always say
that doing something lighthearted like this,
and that's why we're successful.
That was the, that was the exciting part
I think, you know?
This is definitely
not the DMV. I don't know who they are,
but they're, you know, we share space with them, so.
Yeah that was real cool.
So, like, what's your like day-to-day,
like what do you do?
Day-to-day, uh, one of the main things I do
is I sell the ad space.
Now when we started Gigaler,
we had banner ads, okay?
