Hey, Bloomies!
We're keeping this Ask Us Anything going with another question.
Okay, SkyBoi57 says,
"I get that Posey and Shelly Sharp had drama in high school..."
Oh, yeah.
"...but how did The Two Shellys become the rivals of the whole band?"
- Homecoming. -Yep, Homecoming, freshman year.
That's when it sunk in that Shelly Sharp and I weren't friends anymore,
like, at all.
You gotta understand, Homecoming at our school was a really big deal.
The king and queen, the huge football game, the pep rally...
And my favorite part-- Drumroll, please.
No one's doing it. I'll just do it myself.
Theme days!
I love Pajama Day.
Mostly because every day at my homeschool was Pajama Day.
Except Dress Like a Pinata Day. That one really hurt.
You did the theme, you did the theme!
What? No, I just overslept.
Oh, man! I was trying so hard not to participate.
Ladies, love your school spirit.
And I'm looking forward to seeing Electric Broom
-at the pep rally auditions later. -It's "Bloom."
Your band's name is Bloom Broom?
Makes no sense.
Anyway, as I'm sure you know, performing the school's fight song
at the pep rally isn't just an honor.
It's a responsibility.
Our football team hasn't lost a homecoming game in 17 years.
Yeah!
Last time the Fighting Honeybees lost,
it's 'cause the person who sang the fight song...
...suh-suh-suh-sucked!
Greg is loud, but correct.
The song was bad, it killed morale, and the team lost.
So it can never happen again, because I love this...
...suh-suh-suh-school!
It's better when Greg does it.
Okay. Pep rally auditions in one hour.
-We're gonna kill it. -Yeah, we are.
Stop. You guys are gonna jinx us!
Oh, girl. Don't worry. I got us covered.
Me and the spirit guides are manifesting a successful audition.
Love that for us, but can we change the picture?
-I don't like the way my hair looks. -Uh-uh-uh!
I don't want anyone's energy to change the flow here. It's bad luck.
I guess we're just putting
unflattering pictures of our friends in our lockers now.
So we auditioned for the pep rally and made it to the final round.
It was between us and, you guessed it,
The Two Shellys.
Who are we? That's none of your bzzz-ness.
I added that. You can keep it if you want.
Principal Jeffers! Who got it?
Who's singing at the pep rally?
Ladies, there's a process to uphold.
You'll have to wait till the end of the day
to find out you got it.
Congratulations.
We won?
-We won! - We won!
We won! We won!
Who won? We won!
Who won? We won!
Who won? We won... der who won.
We haven't checked yet, do you know?
It was us. I'll go tell Posey.
Hey, you still reliving how you victory danced right in Shelly Sharp's face?
Well, if she wasn't,
she is now.
I'm freaking out. I feel terrible about my victory dance.
I mean, not about my moves.
My moves were tight. I was feeling myself.
But Shelly looked so sad.
Why do you even care?
She stabbed you in the back and dropped you for a new best friend.
Yeah, but I've known Shelly half my life, and I don't want her to be mad at me.
Yeah, I hate when people are mad at me too, although no one ever has been.
Everyone just kind of likes me.
Or loves.
By the way, I'm on the pep rally decorating committee.
Posey, in fifth grade, you said your favorite color was pink.
-Is it still? -Huh?
-Oh, yeah, totally. -I knew it.
I got a photogenic memory.
I gotta fix things with Shelly.
Why? You didn't do anything wrong.
It's okay if she's mad at you. Listen...
If I explain to Shelly
that either of us could have won, she won't be mad anymore.
I'm so smart. Good chat, brain.
So you agree with me, right?
-No need to talk to Shelly? -Right.
I'm gonna go talk to Shelly.
Hi.
Hi.
Uh, so, I just wanted to say that you guys did really great in your audition,
but in any competition, there has to be a winner and a loser.
So you're calling us losers?
No. I'm just saying that in this case, the judges decided that we were better.
So, we're the worst?
You're saying that we're the worst singers alive?
No, you said that.
So now you're blaming us?
No! I just came over here to apologize for the whole victory dance thing.
I just-- I don't know. Are we good?
No, Posey, we're not good.
Not good.
"Not good"? She said "not good," right? No one's there.
So that wasn't great.
And after that, the Shellys started secretly conspiring against us.
And not the good kind of conspiring, either.
Yeah. That was the moment the rivalry between Electric Bloom
and The Two Shellys officially took off.
Bro,
we've got to do something about the pep rally. We should be performing.
What can we do? It's over.
Hey, what do I always say?
"Get out of my light"?
The other thing.
-It's not over... -Till The Two Shellys...
So, what do you have in mind?
Well, Posey's already...
...so we just need to get Jade and Tulip to be...
Then we'll perform at the pep rally.
You don't think that's a little mean?
Aw, you're right.
We should spend the rest of high school watching Electric Bloom rise
while we go back to being Shelly and Shelly's friend.
No, no, not that.
I'm glad we agree, because I already have a plan in motion.
Jade left her locker open and someone took her lucky stuff.
Genius. Miss Superstitious is gonna flip out when she notices her stuff is--
Gone?
My lucky crystals are gone.
Everything's gone!
No, no. I don't like this. Eso es muy malo.
Ow!
Ow!
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Hey! I know what this is. The energy shifted.
I'm cursed.
Whoa. I've actually never been cursed.
I lead kind of a charmed life.
Also, which one of these do you like better?
I don't know. The twirly one.
Cool. Enjoy your curse.
That's not how curses work.
One down, one to go.
Hey, Tulip!
Are you like, so excited?
Yes, I'm so excited.
I'm excited about my snack,
manatees, how flirty the moon is right now.
I mean, excited about the pep rally.
It's a huge deal, right, Shell?
Oh, yeah, the hugest. I don't know if you heard,
but like, 17 years ago, the girl who sang the fight song
let the pressure get to her, and she messed up.
She did?
And then what happened, Shell?
Well, the football team lost the big game,
the whole school blamed her, and she never lived again.
-She died? -Ew, no. Gross.
She just, like, never really lived.
She never went shopping or to concerts.
-And then she dyed. -What?
Her hair!
So no one would recognize her.
But that's not gonna happen to you.
I'm sure you'll do great at the pep rally.
It's only, like, a thousand eyes watching you.
Good luck.
They're singing and smiling, so you want to like it,
but in actuality, they're just being really mean.
They were in our heads so much, I thought I was cursed.
-It gave me a nightmare. -Me, too. But mine was about stage fright.
I also had a bad dream that night.
Mine was just about someone being mad at me, which is way scarier
than stage fright or being cursed. No take-backs.
We're not good.
We're not good. We're not good. We're not good.
We're not good.
We're not good.
We're not good.
We're not good.
- -We're not good.
Also, I have a secret.
- We're not good. -
We are Electric...
Uh... Eyes, eyes.
Don't mess up and make us lose the game.
That would... ...suh-suh-suh-suck!
Eyes, eyes, eyes, eyes!
Keep those hands away from me.
They're cursed!
Whatever you touch will be doomed.
But I need my hands to play the pep rally!
