First you get a nice big glass and fill it with ice.

Then, you mix in 1 part whisky with 4 parts soda water.

Squeeze a little lemon in there and it gets even better!

Be ever so gentle with the soda so it doesn't go flat.

Then mix it up real carefully.

And you've got yourself a kaku-highball!
