The first 200 lines.

All season...

We need you, baby.

Come on in here!

Giant tuna...

-Yeah baby, whoo! -Man.

And huge paydays...

Thank you, Jesus.

Have been the name of the game in the Outer Banks.

-Beautiful! -Yes!

And now...

There it is!

With only six days left of fishing...

Let's get 'em, bro.

Seek and destroy.

All that it'll take...

-I got to put my fighting suit on.

-Good thing they got the old man on the boat, baby.

Is one big fish...

Every fish counts so much.

Whoo!

This is fishing, boys.

To steal the lead.

Watch these ropes.

I'm telling ya.

This is...

Darn it, man.

Stick him!

Wicked Tuna Outer Banks.

For the first time this season, southerner Doghouse leads the fleet.

But northern boat Pinwheel, local underdog Reels Of Fortune,

and long-time champion Fishin' Frenzy are less than $2,000 behind.

Meanwhile, northerner Hot Tuna continues to struggle with only two fish.

I feel like any minute I will get a bite.

There's a lot of difference in "I hope I get a bite," "I pray I get a bite,"

and "I'm expecting a bite" and that's where I am this morning, I'm expecting a bite.

We're having a strong season.

Last trip out.

One, two, three, heave.

We caught three fish that were worth over 22 grand.

Whoo, pretty work.

-Now we're at the top of the fleet and it feels pretty good.

But with the season coming to an end, I just wanna finish strong with fish

on the deck and put some money in the bank.

Fingers are crossed.

We're right where we should be.

Today's gonna be our day.

We're gonna get 'em today.

Let's get 'em, bud.

-Sounds like there's been a couple bites so far this morning.

Just, we haven't been in on the action yet.

We need to get in on the action, Duff-Duff.

We need the action.

There's less than a week left in the Outer Banks Bluefin Season.

Last season we were less than 700 bucks from taking the top spot.

This season we're more focused, better prepared, and I feel the lead is

within our grasp.

I wanna be the first northern boat to outfish the southern fleet on their home turf.

We're gonna be having four rods out and then we got five baits on the greenstick.

So we got nine baited hooks in the water looking for tunas.

It's a little brisk this morning as we venture out into open sea.

Steve, how you doing, buddy?

Never better.

The majority of my income comes from these three months fishing here on

the Outer Banks.

With our Bluefin payday coming to an end, we're gonna keep the lines out as

long as we can.

-Griff. -Yeah.

-Pretty big slick right there straight downwind.

Maybe something will happen for us.

It's already happening for a lot of other boats.

I am ready for a nibble.

I'm getting a little desperate.

There's three boats ahead of us and that's never happened to us this late in the season.

But I know it's a numbers game and it only takes one fish to get us back on

top of the fleet.

I hate chasing a bite.

Here they are.

Here we go, 15 fathom.

We're ready.

We'll get a bite here.

On the mark, we're on the mark.

Jig, Jig!

It's the mother lode.

We're gonna go off man, we're gonna go off.

-Looks like a flat spot up here over the bow.

Right there, see it?

Come on baby, hit it.

Oh, there we go, look at that mark.

-Come on, tunas. -Another mark. -Oh, there they are, boy.

-Damn they're still on the screen.

Our turn.

There we go!

Back up there, Griff, quick.

She's smoking us down.

I got a fish on there, bud.

-Come on, Lord, give me something here.

Got 'em on, got 'em on.

-There he goes. -Got 'em on, baby!

Woo-hoo, got 'em on!

Come on, fish.

Yeah baby, here we go.

Got 'em on.

That's him, yeah baby.

Tight, tight at the 540.

(bleep), Tyler just got a bite.

Come on, tuna!

Nibble, nibble, nibble, nibble!

Come on dammit.

Pinwheel, Reels of Fortune, and Doghouse are all hooked up.

We got to start catching fish right now.

Time is running out.

Everybody's sacking us up today, it sucks.

Woo-hoo, got 'em on!

Good morning.

Could be what we're after.

Yippie dippy-oo!

-I got to put my fighting suit on.

I've been expecting a bite so much all morning.

It was not even a surprise.

-He's, he's growing, getting bigger.

All right.

-Still running, it's a good sign.

Yeah, baby.

T, that's him, brother.

He's still peeling me away.

I got a lot of heat on him, too.

He's got some power to him.

Definitely a good fish, man, wow.

We got like 1,000 feet of line out right now.

Big one!

Come on Duffy, wind, wind, wind!

-Yeah baby, let's get him bro, he's coming!

-Get some baby, get some, get some, come on Duffy, get it!

-He's coming. -Let me get it. -All right, got it?

-Yes, let go. -Got a lot of line out now.

-It's gonna be a good one here.

Oh man, I'm telling you he's pulling.

Come on, man, we need this one.

-I don't know, it's just the line's coming so fast I can't tell.

I can't belive it.

Look at that.

See that (bleep)?

That sucks.

-We're running out of time now.

We can't afford to lose a fish like this.

We need to bank as much money as we can before the season closes.

Gosh, darn it, man!

Coming up now, ain't it?

-Forward, forward, all right, you're good, you're good, you're good, you're good.

It's a nice tuna.

It's acting funny, it just ain't acting right.

-Come on girl, we need this one.

-Oh. -Golly dang!

Lost a fish, (bleep).

-We really, really needed that fish.

Really needed that fish, bad.

-There's no crying in baseball or fishing.

You lick your wounds and you carry on.

Hell, yeah!

Wind on him, brother.

Straight down.

-Hell yeah, man, let's get him.

We need it, man, we need it.

It's all business.

A lot riding on this fish.

And I don't wanna be number two.

I wanna be number one.

I got deep color.

See him?

Oh, no.

I don't know what it is.

It's a tuna.

No, it's not a tuna.

It's not?

-Oh, my God, it's huge whatever it is.

No, it's a hammerhead.

Oh, my God.

-You can never control what's biting on the end of the line.

But when you get something like a hammerhead, you got to cut him loose.

The hooks we use corrode over time.

So when we cut the line and the hook is still in the shark,

it won't be there forever.

Just completely wrecked us.

-Time is money and we're running out of time and money.

Fighting a shark is not gonna get us to the top of the fleet.

Dang.

I hate wasting time.

I can't let this cause me to lose focus.

We got to keep on moving forward.

-I swear, another hook wide open, bud.

Pain in the ass.

-We foul hooked a shark and we ended up costing ourselves two and a half hours

of precious time fighting a shark.

God darn.

We lost ours, too.

Come off.

Don't know if something broke or what.

-That seems to be the trend today.

Close, but no cigar, guys.

We got another shot.
