The first 200 lines.

North Korea is beginning to pose

a genuine threat to the West.

And at this point, there seems to be

no way to stop that threat.

South Korea's military

is now saying that North Korea has

successfully test fired ballistic missiles

from a submarine.

This is clear provocation by North Korea,

and the international community has

a responsibility to respond.

We will not accept North Korea as a nuclear state nor

as a nuclear-armed state, and nor will the international

community abide by that.

We're coming up on the ship now.

Get ready to jump.

Ready.

Max, wake up!

Hello?

Back to work!

Hey, what's going on?

You OK?

Aye-aye.

OK, keep coming!

The Inshin Co. have ordered me to give

the Americans everything they need,

and that includes the Aurora.

I'm sorry, Captain.

It's just, none of this worries you?

Of course it worries me.

I have to worry about everything that happens on this ship.

This ship doesn't belong to me.

And the Aurora doesn't belong to you.

You need to remember that.

I do.

I just like to know what's going on before I hand her over.

You have to do this for me.

Without resistance or incident.

On a six hour dive?

Potentially.

With a bunch of guys that I don't know,

two more ballasts than equipped to carry,

overloaded in weight with whatever the hell

they're rigging to the side of the Aurora right now.

No prep time, no clue what the hell I'm supposed

to be doing down there.

Not to mention, we're sneaking around right

on the edge of international waters with North Korea.

"Without resistance."

That means I have to be happy about it?

Of course not.

You're not an idiot.

Hell, I don't know.

I know what I'm asking you here.

I know it's a lot.

I trust you.

If you say it's OK, then I do it.

Mats, I trust you.

Your instincts aren't wrong on this.

This is shaky, at best.

But you're wrong about one thing.

We're not on the edge of international waters.

We're about to cross the 38th parallel.

Oh shit.

You stay in contact, hm?

Get back quickly.

Yes, Captain.

Mats, Mats, do you want us

to leave any of the weights on?

No, no, no.

Take them off.

Take them all off.

Are you sure?

Have you seen the size of these guys?

We're too heavy already.

Andy?

Hey, Andy!

Yeah, all the weights off.

Get a move on!

You must be the pilot.

Nice to meet you.

Look, we're all going to get to know

each other real intimately in about half an hour,

which is three hours less than it usually takes.

So I think we can save the instructions till then,

and I can get on with, you know, making

sure this big hunk of steel doesn't sink with the weight

of an extra passenger and all that God knows that you're

rigging to the side of her.

Look, I know it's not an ideal situation.

And believe me, if there was any other option here,

we would of course be taking it.

But right now this sub, with you as its pilot,

is the best shot we've got at completing our mission.

So like it or not, we're going to be stuck with each other.

And I'd like it if we didn't get off on the wrong foot.

OK.

And this mission of yours, you want to tell me about it?

Absolutely, Matt.

Just not yet.

It's "Mats."

Our location puts my crew and myself at very great risk.

Now, it's my duty to look after every man

and woman aboard this ship.

Of course, Captain.

When that sub goes down there in an hour,

I'm trusting you'll take on that duty towards its crew.

Absolutely.

We have understanding, then?

Yes, Captain.

Hey, you're not gonna need shoes in there.

If you kick something in wearing boots, you're gonna break it.

'Cause you'd should notice in here.

I need you to take them off.

Honestly, I don't think you want him to take off the boots.

I've been in confined spaces with him before,

and it's the last thing you want.

She's right.

They've got a unique odor.

Let's not kid ourselves, people.

After three hours on this trip, it's

gonna be the odor from my feet that you're complaining about.

Jesus.

Hey, I'm just saying out loud what we're all thinking.

Just put a cork in it, would you?

Be my guest.

Park it.

Yes, boss.

OK, people, the hatch is shut.

You're now stuck with me.

Then I guess this would be a good time to do

our impolite introductions.

So welcome aboard.

I will be your pilot on this descent,

and I'll be running through some of the safety

features of this craft.

Overhead storage should be nonexistent, so

dump all your shit to the back.

If you look under your seats, you

will find that there are no real seats, so don't

put anything there either.

Anyone with bulky carry-on baggage or anyone wearing

big-ass boots better actually have

a big ass, because this is where these actors

are gonna have to live.

OK, thank you.

I think we get it.

No, I don't think you do.

Some things in here are just suggestions, things

I don't care about, like whether or not

you get foot cramp after three hours

of sitting on your own boots.

Some things I will tell you to do,

and you're going to have to do them,

because this isn't some fancy Navy SEAL submarine.

She ain't a hi-tech sporty thing.

Ain't that the truth.

She's very old, very scrappy, and very fragile.

If you kick her, she's going to break.

So in summary, guys, we're gonna have to try really

hard not to break my sub.

Are you done?

Yeah.

We understand.

You're in charge.

But on this dive, we're gonna need to do our own thing

in the way that we have to.

Sometimes it's fair that you're in control,

but sometimes I'm gonna need to be in charge, OK?

I need your help with that.

Well, you may be in charge of this mission,

but I know this sub.

You're gonna have to accept I know the ins and outs of her.

You can't do your own thing without running it by me.

We appreciate that.

OK, fine.

So let's knock off this deep, meaningful shit

and get this show on the road, shall we?

Amen to that!

Andy, you reading?

We're good to go.

Roger that, Aurora.

Hello, Mats.

We're clear of the edge. Taking her down now.

Roger that.

Start taking her down.

Aurora just coming into the water now.

Roger that.

Air pressure five, carbon dioxide scrubbers

are actually working well.

Onboard temperature good.

Outer lights, check.

Video feed connection, testing cameras 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Check.

Master arm, check.

81, system check complete.

Onboard batteries at 98%, giving approximately 12 hours

on the main cells.

All other systems are good and ready to go.

All clear for starting descent.
