Three-time champion Fishin' Frenzy holds the top spot for the

Southern fleet and Northern boats Hot Tuna

and Pinwheel are trailing by a single fish,

while local boat Little Shell struggles to get back on top.

All right, let's roll out Duff-Duff.

Let's catch some fish.

Trying to get off the dock here before these Southern captains.

We got a good weather window.

Everyone's gonna be going today.

There's big money to be had and the quota's running out.

We wanna represent the North.

I mean we're here to challenge them.

We're here to give them a run for their money.

We wanna beat 'em.

You know, there's nothing better than going fishing.

It's long hours, it's hard.

You know, it's 1:30 in the morning but I'm happy, I'm excited.

I can't wait to see what the day brings.

We're within one fish of the lead.

So, as much as we like to get a good night's sleep, we have to go.

Right now, the morale aboard the boat is very high.

I mean, when it's said and done, if we stay on pace the way we've been going,

this will be our best season yet in the Outer Banks.

The most important thing is you gotta want it, and we want it.

So that's the difference this year.

You know, last year we got smoked down here.

People talked crap about us.

We've got to go and prove to ourselves most importantly that we can handle it.

So you know what?

The pelicans are going.

The sun is just about to break the horizon.

We're gonna get the bird out.

We're gonna get the stick up and we're gonna see what happens.

This season, the Northern boats are doing better than ever before.

And there's a good chance Hot Tuna, Pinwheel,

or even us on the Falcon could take this whole thing.

So we're out here earlier than anyone else and we're here to win.

The probability of catching one on the greenstick

is approximately 4 billon, 436 to 1.

That's the last obstacle before we got to deal with the bar.

Two more obstacles and we're home free on our way to the fishing grounds.

We, it came off one wave and landed and there was no, no water there for us.

It sucks.

We're lucky we didn't ruin the boat.

This late in the season, I can't afford mistakes like that.

I mean, it's go time.

We're in third place.

If something like that happened to the Fishin' Frenzy,

it'd be their season, over, done with.

Same thing with Doghouse.

Because we got a keel, you know, we're in good shape.

But that just, that's just sketchy.

The bar's constantly moving.

That's crazy.

Outer Banks, choppy.

after Greg injured his arm.

So hopefully he'll be healed up then we can get back to normal,

but we'll do what we got to do in the meantime.

It's a hard pill to swallow to know that I'm trailing behind Greg's mates.

I would feel devastated if I lost this competition to a couple deckhands and I'm not

gonna let that happen.

I mean, it's just fishing.

It ain't rocket science.

Look at all the other dummies out here doing it.

I've caught a couple, so you know it ain't that damn hard.
