Ghosts of Morgan City

I've been workin' for the Morgan City Police Department

34 years.

In recent weeks,

with reports of strange and unusual activity

that we just can't explain.

The people down here

are lookin' for answers, so we're gonna try something

that we've never tried before.

You heard a growl? There was a growl.

We've got a team of some of the best

paranormal investigators in the country.

Is there a negative entity here?

Oh, my God! What the hell?!

If this paranormal team can't figure out

what's goin' on down here,

we're in a lot of trouble.

We just had an emergency call come in from Berwick.

Berwick?

That's, like, right across the river from Morgan City.

Yeah, it's not far from here.

The PD is on scene right now.

I really feel like there's a female spirit

connected to this one.

Really? Yeah.

There's been a rash of hauntings spreading across

all of St. Mary Parish.

We originally came here to help Morgan City,

but almost immediately, we started getting calls

about unusual activity in the surrounding towns.

We're trying to figure out how all these hauntings are related.

Wow.

But they've been escalating so quickly...

Oh, my God!

It's kind of hard to find any real patterns

to help us contain it.

And now we're being called to the town of Berwick,

and this will be our second case reporting poltergeist activity.

So we need to figure out what's going on

and how to solve this before things get any worse.

I'm patrolling the area earlier,

seeing three young girls out past curfew.

And get out and talk with them.

So, they explained to me some very disturbing things

going on inside their house.

They're refusing to go back inside.

Say their dads are out shopping,

and things just started happening.

The dads, Jon and Bubba, actually just pulled up,

if you guys want to come talk to them.

Berwick PD has been getting a lot of strange calls recently.

Some strange things have been happening...

Some things we just can't explain.

I mean, I can't exactly arrest a ghost,

so at the end of the day, I'm definitely glad

that the paranormal team was able to come out

and check it out further.

So, we just got back from the grocery store.

We left Taylor in charge... She's 17...

With her two little sisters.

And all we know is, the girls

were running out the house, panicking.

And we've been working with the local police,

helping them with unusual cases...

Things that happen in people's homes.

And I understand the police officer came

because you guys had run outside your house, right?

So, I was in my room.

And I was playing with my doll.

And...

its arm moved.

And then I screamed.

I was running from my room,

trying to figure out

why they were just screaming all of a sudden.

And then the lights started flickering.

And you could hear banging on the walls.

I was like, "Well, let's just get out of the room."

So, right before we got to the door,

the door just slammed in our face.

And then we said we're not going back in there.

So we stayed outside,

and then the cop pulled up.

- Oh, my gosh. - That's pretty scary.

I would like to go in there,

so I'm gonna let the rest of my team

ask you some more questions here.

Since the poltergeist activity just happened,

I don't want to leave this family alone,

so Jereme and Sarah are gonna stay with them

while I head inside with my equipment

to see if it picks up on any anomalies.

Turning on my EMF meter.

It's constantly...

really high.

We're reading right now about 7 milligauss.

Steady 7.

So this tells me there's some serious background EMF fields.

So, I think she said the living-room door...

I think it was this door that slammed.

Poltergeist activity is actually pretty rare.

It takes a lot of energy to physically move an object...

A very powerful spirit.

Get chills walking in here.

How old is this house?

Look at that roof.

I can feel my skin kind of tingle.

It felt like walking through a curtain of static.

It's constantly high EMF.

This is higher than you would like it in your home,

and that's probably caused by the old wiring.

But since spirits are believed to emit

their own electromagnetic field, it could have something to do

with whatever just caused the poltergeist activity here.

so scary for y'all, huh?

Has this ever happened to y'all before,

I've actually seen something

in my room, as well.

I was tossing and turning all night, couldn't sleep.

I woke up, and I saw a woman

in the corner of my room.

So, you actually saw a ghost? Yeah.

An older lady.

Older lady with big glasses,

like stop signs.

I mean, they were really big.

Her hair is salt-and-pepper and kind of pulled up.

I think it's really interesting that Bubba

has experienced a female energy.

Part of me honestly thinks that it might be an owner

or somebody else that used to be close to the home.

I have a male presence here, also.

Not sure who he is yet.

So, how long have you guys been in the house?

We bought it in 2015. Okay.

In Taylor's room,

the ceiling is the original ceiling.

We've never touched it.

Only thing we've done is there was a lot of hooks.

We just took them down. It was time.

Yeah, we took them all down.

Taylor didn't want them up there.

They have big hooks, small hooks.

It's kind of creepy.

Okay.

Whoever was living in here...

They did have some stuff in the attic, too.

Yeah.

And they had a lot of religious stuff

that we just couldn't get rid of, so we kept.

So, you... you have things

that belonged to the past owner?

Yeah, they had some kids' toys in the attic.

The dolls that were in the attic,

you and Riley went in the attic and got out.

Yeah, me and Riley went, and she wanted a few out.

So, who has the dolls now? Riley.

And that's the doll that moved, right?

Yeah. Okay, got it.

It's not a myth

that spirits are often attracted to dolls.

That's why there's so many stories

of evil forces possessing dolls.

Negative spirits like to trick people.

They like to disguise themselves

as something that appears harmless.

And there's some creepy dolls.

I would not want to see any of those dolls moving.

Oh, you're a creepy little thing, aren't you?

She says one of these dolls'...

I think it's one of these... Arms moved.

Now, I could see if it was already propped up,

and it falls down.

It's starting to fall right now.

But I think a child would know,

I mean, if they had set the arm up

and then it fell down and moved,

and then everything happening all at once...

Something that would make them all come screaming

and running out of the house together,
