for selecting your vocalist?

I just look at their vocal skills.

I don't look at anything else.

I'm serious.

The first vocalist, Jong Seo... - Yes.

Back then, we needed a vocalist.

As you know, there was no internet back in those days,

so we had to rely on word of mouth.

"I've heard of an amazing singer." - Yes, exactly.

One day, someone told me about...

this amazing singer in Miari. - A singing master.

I heard that he was going to perform in Miari.

So I went there with all of my members...

and watched his performance.

Jong Seo's performance? - Yes. We watched it secretly.

He sang "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin.

I was completely smitten.

His performance was that impressive.

So I gave him an offer as soon as his performance ended.

Tae Won was known as the best guitarist in Korea.

Even I heard about his incredible skills as a guitarist.

That was way before he started appearing on television.

That famous guitarist gave you an offer.

That's right. So I thought, "What's happening to me now?"

Then what about Wan Kyu? Why did you pick him as your vocalist?

I first met him near Songtan in 1996.

Songtan. You've gone from Miari to Songtan.

I had heard of a vocalist who performs in the US military base.

So we sneaked in again. - Secretly.

He actually happened to be singing "Black Dog".

The same song? - Yes.

It's the hardest song to sing out of all Led Zeppelin's songs.

That's right. - You know, right?

He sang it so well,

so I was smitten once again.

So you gave him an offer. - Exactly.

"Why was it used to evaluate their potential as vocalists?"

In the history of Korean rock music,

Boohwal's second album "Remember" was the best...

rock album ever to be made.

It was released when I was a junior in middle school,

and the entire student body...

fell head over heels for it.

My favourite track from the album was "Reminiscence 1".

"Reminiscence 1"? - Whenever we heard that song,

everyone just burst into tears.
