was a cartographer in Colmar, which is in Alsace Lorraine,

which is basically right across from the black forest.

Anyway.

Anyway, I inherited a ton of his stuff that wasn't burned

during the Franco-Prussian war when Germany annexed Colmar.

My guess, this map of yours was drawn in the Behaim style,

which could put it squarely in the Schwarzwald.
