Kat Landry!
Oh, welcome home!
- All the predictions that Elliot
just couldn't wait to get away from, I made them.
I sold the farm.
This buyer doesn't want to take over my lease for your fields.
- The Lingermore estate has been in the Goodwin family
since Port Haven existed.
I would be a shame to lose all that history.
- This is what's going to lead you to Jacob.
Just... take me with you.
Oh, God.
Mom, where are you?!
Mom!
Alice?
Alice, what are you doing here?
- I'm not supposed to be here, Elliot!
- Wait, what does that even mean?
- I... I don't know, okay? I don't know what happened,
but this is not where I'm supposed to be!
Al--
Alice!
Mom?
What have you done? Where is my mom?!
Elliot?
Elliot!
I... I don't know what happened,
but I... we went in and I...
I came up in the wrong time, and Mom, she...
Just... come in.
Okay, tell me what's going on.
- The... pond. Mom and I jumped in together
and then it literally ripped us apart,
which has never happened before.
- So you and Kat have been jumping in the pond together...
how often? - What?
No! Why does that even matter? You're not listening to me!
- Pretty sure I am. You and your mom
jumped in the pond and things went south. Shocker!
Alice... how are we back here?
Why are you too still messing with this?
I thought you'd made a decision to give it all up.
- Yeah, we did. For seven months,
even though it meant not looking for Jacob.
- Jacob? - Okay, so I...
I didn't see a body when I came back,
which means... - Go back.
What do you mean, "looking for Jacob"?
Elliot! My mom.
- Please, sit down and tell me, from the beginning.
Kat will be fine. She always is.
Look at it, Delly.
It's gonna be a good year.
I know it.
There's nothing like Landry soil.
Katherine, are you home?
Alice?
Hmm.
Fynn? I mean...
I had considered the possibility that Jacob had gone
into the pond, obviously, but I always wrote it off
because... because the pond has rules.
And the cardinal rule is that you were the only one
who could time travel. But then I found out
that Kat could too, so why didn't I put
two and two together then?
Oh, that's right, because dogs aren't supposed to time travel.
Right. But if...
if Fynn can travel,
you realize this opens up a whole world
of questions and new theories?
- No theories, Elliot! Okay? We need to do something
about my mom, please!
What is there to do, but wait?
- If you say that the pond takes you where you need to go,
I'm going to scream. - I'm not saying anything.
I can't believe Kat didn't tell me this.
Maybe she didn't tell you
because you bailed on us, Elliot.
After everything we went through.
After losing Colton, after you and Mom...
You have no right to be mad at her.
You can be mad at me all you want, I... I don't care.
I know I ruined your life,
but you know what, that was an accident.
And you leaving, that was a choice.
- But here I am. I've barely unpacked,
and I'm right back to where I was seven months ago,
the Giles to your Buffy.
- Yeah, well, you don't need to be that person anymore.
I don't need your help. I'm gonna find Mom on my own.
Don't you want to know how she is?
Or who she is?
If she dies, it won't matter.
And if she lives... we'll make her talk.
The wound is septic.
Managed to keep her alive in spite of the damage
done by your pistol. You're lucky.
That makes me lucky, does it?
I should have taken better aim.
Alice?
- I don't understand your mother.
What in heaven's name is so important
that she would miss dinner?
- Oh, yeah, she... she went out of town.
First I've heard.
- Oh yeah, well she... she asked me to tell you,
but I totally forgot. And she was doing some research,
I guess she just had to stay overnight.
Well, for a newspaper editor,
communication is not her strong point.
So how about you?
Minneapolis. You getting excited?
Yeah. I guess so.
I don't know, I'm pretty stressed.
Uh, I should tell you that the other kids
who are doing Crops 4 Kindness said that they will take over
while Spencer and I are gone during this summer.
I don't want you to worry about that.
- Oh, that's good. - Yeah.
Spencer is going to this amazing cooking course in Tuscany.
And all he can talk about is opening his own restaurant
and using your produce for it.
- Wow. The Landry soil is special.
You know, he really thinks
that we should expand. Go province-wide,
like you did with your honey.
He does, does he?
- Okay. I should get started packing.
- Thanks for helping me clean up.
Of course.
Dad! Hi.
- Hi to you too! Countdown is on, sweetie.
Just a few more days and you are gonna be Twin-City bound!
- Yeah. I can... hardly believe it.
- Listen, Rachel and I are so excited.
We're gonna hit up a bunch of new restaurants,
maybe a concert, we'll do the museum thing,
but then, you know what? Just... lots of solo
father-daughter time.
Sounds amazing, honestly.
And, listen, I...
I had some pretty good ideas about some summer internships,
you know. One of the opportunities
is actually at my own firm. We could go to work together!
- I... didn't realize an internship
was part of the deal.
- It's time to start thinking about your future.
Your career path.
- Kinda like a five-year plan, huh?
Exactly.
Hey, I've been trying to reach your mother all day.
She's not picking up. Where is she?
Honestly, Dad... I don't know.
- You've gotta keep a better watch on her.
I do? This is your problem.
You can take care of it. I've got customers upstairs.
- Customers that just got an eye-full.
You keep her locked up!
Alice...
Alice...
Alice.
You are not going anywhere.
Is your mom not back?
You would think she'd want to spend as much time
as possible with you before you have to leave.
- Oh, yeah, of course she wants to spend time with me, but...
she just has a really important assignment.
Fine. If you're okay with it.
Yeah. I am.
- Alright. Well, I'm going now. I'll be back.
Where are you going?
- Since when am I the only person
who has to check in around here?
I can come and go as I please, just like Katherine.
As you know, I've been leasing out
a large acreage for the past 20 years,
and I want to take it back.
I want to do something different with that.
Something... creative.
- Okay. - I want to turn these acres
into a communal farm.
A place where young farmers can come and learn the ropes
while actually growing crops.
And then the profits from those crops
would go to local charities.
It's really a larger version of Crops 4 Kindness.
And since you helped me with that initiative,
I was thinking, maybe we could work
on a business plan together,
send a proposal to the town council?
- Why not? I'm sure they'll buy in.
Especially if you're behind it. - Thanks.
And thanks for listening.
I still miss... I still miss Colton
when I'm making decisions like this.
- You know, even after Colton passed,
whenever I had a problem, I'd talk to him.
Imagine what he'd say, what advice he'd give me,
