For 8 months, students all over Japan had been fighting against imperialism.

Their actions were violently suppressed by the police.

Activists at Kyoto University (Kyodai) were looking for new strategies.

Those students and assistants formed the troop of the "non-sectarians".

As discussed before, they present an extremely right-wing position.

Beginning in 1969, party-divided politics have started to collapse.

We are entering the times of one single stream.

This is the condition we have clearly reached now. Certain dates...

They prepare the national struggle which will be the last moment...

... of the All-Campus Joint Struggle Committee.

It's bad for us that our problems are addressed in the form we have.

The question is: On what was our struggle based so far?

No Joint Struggle Committee! Let's build partisan troops instead!

So how can we close down the All-Campus Joint Struggle Committee?

And we have to think seriously what we are going to build after that.

Our national vision will decide on how we can advance forward.

That's the position we have to bring forward as hard as we can.

How can you complain without knowing anything?!

Current Japan is in a state of stagnation.

We truly have to discuss the problems of such individual sense of values!

Japan needs a new kind of confirmation.

The problem we came across with the All-Campus Joint Struggle Committee

has to do with individual groups and their specific courses of action.

It's different form ordinary mass movements, were everything...

... comes together to build up a whole new body.

It's a concrete assertion.

How about creating a corps, consisting of labour and...

... partisan troops, each of it with about five members?

This idea is based on our image of the soviet system.

Those groups will be united forever, like being in love.

It's definitely not a subjective unity.

It won't take such a form!

But if we think about this Soviet idea carefully...

Then a mass armament, in which everyone...

... somehow fighting can't be the red thread for a nationwide movement...

What we need is a concrete preparation for the fights to come.

Take the anti-war movement right now.

Right now it's separated into different regions.

It's clearly not an all-embracing movement.

The idea that certain bounds are needed is becoming stronger.

The idea to have a group with violence or weapons at its core.

So we clearly need a method to use this...

... to evolutionarily dock into the progress of society or schools.

Here we will build this new kind of group.

It's a different pole than the current huge stream.

The problem lies in the regulations of the joint struggle committee.

For an organized movement, there are only the sections.

Outstanding sections will take over control.

And the section with the biggest base...

With the coolest actions would be Maru-Chu.

At this level they are ready to go.

They fight against war, they graduate and find jobs.

And at the same time they are fighting.

Like this they are no students anymore.

For me, here we have the biggest problem.

That's where the issue of revolution should appear.

This problem has to be solved. There's change occurring here.

So some students are just giving up.

Here we must act.

It's hell asking for results, so let's get rid of that hell.

So that's a kind of struggle we are criticising.

For its orthodox logic.

But we'll have November soon talking like this.

There might be deaths within this year.

If we really do it I mean.

So we are still talking about the premises, right?

Is it really useful to propose a new direction at the moment?

The one who fights best will win in the end.

That's the situation.

Especially for the non-sectarians...

It's like dragging people along with us.

So once again...

I'd like to go back to the starting point.

Back to the individual committees.

The literature department at the literature department.

Lower the mass-level here.

Even if we can't build up a troop here...

We can at least pass that stage, and can build a troop to fight.

If we have a troop to fight in mind from the beginning...

It will just lead to a break-up.

I think the core structure must fundamentally be changed.

Take the november-struggles.

Or the worries if we could really resist the security treaty.

But this isn't only a problem of military strategy.

How do we want to fight?

Why must we fight?

What can we reach here?

We are facing a pretty dark outlook.

That's where it all comes from.

I think that the fight does not reach results is not a military problem.

So even if we think about military actions...

It's not sure that it will be useful for us altogether.

For me it feels like throwing away your thoughts...

... and just move mechanically as a troop.

This seems to be a pretty old- fashioned style of military force.

So for our actions we need something else.

Something which is based on a clear foundation.

Then we don't have to worry about November or the 70s.

We would know why why we are fighting.

If we really have understood this question completely...

Then we can think about such kinds of methods.

What's the sense in talking about it.

But that's what we are heading to right now.

Well... think about it.

When we are wondering why our fight does not show any results,

We should consider our reasons to fight once again.

I really think we should make up our minds about this issue.

Go to sleep, decide when to get up again.

Have a concrete plan.

Really do your best.

If we can do that we could think about such methods...

But taking the problem as a whole, the question really is...

... where the development will lead to in the end.

Can you really cover all the expenses involved.

That was one of the questions.
