The first 200 lines.
Deep in remote bushland,
17 celebrities leave behind their comfort and security
to embark on a life altering experience.
For the next 14 days,
they'll take part in a condensed version
of the SAS Selection course.
Some are here with a point to prove.
Some to face their inner demons.
And some are here to fight for redemption.
I hope the public know me from uh playing AFL footy
but they might just know me from the affair
with the wife of my teammate at the time.
I'm not trying to prove anything to the public,
it's to myself and that's why I'm on the course.
Many people know me from the song 'Read My Lips'
from E Street
and most recently the 'Housewives of Sydney'.
I'm sitting here terrified, I'm not gonna lie to you.
I can't say to you, "I'm gonna be fabulous and, yeah,
"I'll be fine, don't worry!"
I don't know.
I honestly don't know. I'm terrified.
We don't care who they are.
We don't care where they're from or what they've done.
Titles, labels, brands
means absolutely nothing on the battlefield.
This is a course where you will be fully exposed for who you truly are.
I'm known
for going on 'The Bachelor'
and meeting my know hubby Tim Robards.
I think people think that I'm quite delicate
and that I wouldn't like getting bruises or scratches.
They're gonna think that I'm not going to give 100%
but they are so wrong.
I used to be a professional swimmer.
I won multiple Olympic medals
and broken many world records over my career.
I think that being able to deal with those pressures
and those circumstances
is gonna help me get through the course.
Move! Let's go!
Hurry up!
To pass selection... Move!
..the recruits will need strength,
courage and commitment.
Hurry up! But they'll also need each other.
Hurry up!
Get a move on you two.
Urgency in everything that we do, listen in very carefully.
Stop moving!
First of all, welcome.
You should be proud you've taken that initial step
to where you are now.
Whatever you've done in the past, it doesn't count here.
Everything is wiped clean.
Probably would know me
from playing rugby league in the NRL.
I played for 15 seasons uh for the Broncos,
the Dragons and the Knights.
I'm someone that only does things that I'm good at normally.
I'm doing this to prove to myself that I can do something
that's well out of my comfort zone and overcome those barriers.
We're going to strip
anything negative that you possess...
and help you flip them into a positive.
I think everyone perceives me the way I played football,
my physicality on the field and some of my wrong doings.
I'm probably totally different now
but I haven't been in a competitive environment for,
you know, quite a long time so it's going to be interesting
to see how I go with that.
You will need to throw yourself in the deep end
with everything that you do.
It will be an experience of a lifetime
and it starts right now.
I'm an NRLW player for the Brisbane Broncos.
And I've also represented Australia in Rugby League and Rugby Union.
I just don't see myself quitting.
I'm just about to put you...
to the recesses of hell.
You're going to be set on fire.
This isn't some yoga retreat where you find yourself.
It's going to be a harsh and brutal lesson from day one.
What doesn't kill you makes you.
Go, let's go!
Remain calm. Do not panic!
Get a fucking grip of yourself.
Chief instructor Ant Middleton.
You are meant to be a fucking ox.
And his international team of Special Forces soldiers.
With two new elite commanders.
Navy Seal Clint Emerson.
He served 20 years in the US Unit
that took out Osama Bin Laden.
Nothing will get in our way.
Special Boat Services Dean Stott.
I served 16 years in the military.
I trained alongside Prince Harry
and I've been trusted to protect his life.
This is my new mission.
Get a grip of your team!
Will push them!
What happened?
Give me your number and you can go!
Why would I go, I just pulled
that cunt off the cliff.
You call me cunt again
and I'll smash you in the fucking face.
And beyond!
SAS is so far out of my comfort zone.
I will not get through this course without self-belief.
Yes!
I want this to be the hardest most brutal thing
I can think of.
Fail!
You're just about to be kidnapped.
Get in the fucking car now, fuck.
Look at me, look at me.
Listen, look at me, look at me.
Your strengths will fucking prevail.
I slept with my teammate's wife.
What are you fucking playing at?
Right, get outside!
No other test asks as much...
Stand up, stand up number six.
..or means as much...
It's not being in my girl's life every day
is probably the biggest thing that I'm ashamed of.
..to the few who make it through.
This first task is going to see
if you've got the survival instincts to last fucking another day.
If you do not move quickly enough
you will literally fucking burn and burst into flames.
Recruit on fire is to see
how they cope when their world is falling apart around them
and you need guts.
Guts is something that you will have to bring to the forefront
of this course.
If you don't, you'll be gone before you know it.
First to face the terrifying flames
is reality TV star Locky Gilbert.
I've done 'Survivor' and then done 'The Bachelor',
two completely different shows
but this is something new and I'm excited for it.
I want this course to be the hardest thing I have ever done.
I want this to prove to everyone that I am this tough alpha male.
I want it to be fucking hard.
Light me the fuck up.
Move faster!
Let's go all the way in. Do not touch me.
See that tree in front of you, the last tree.
Yes, staff.
And the log to the right hand side.
Between that is your point of entry into the water.
Do not dive and fucking snap your neck.
Just get in waist height,
fucking fast as you can and flop forward.
Do you understand me? Yes, staff.
When I set you on fire I'm gonna to step back,
maintain eye contact until I give you the command go.
Yes, staff. What do you do?
I've been a couple of reality TV shows, but.
Oh, you're one of them fuckers are you?
Oh, I work as an adventure guide.
Shut the fuck up, I don't want to know anyone.
I don't fucking want to know. You're fucking boring me.
Fuel!
So, I'm an egotistical fame whore.
I mean I've done three TV shows,
this is my fourth TV show.
Of course like fame and notoriety is what some people live for.
I don't hide it. It's fun.
It's exciting. It's what drives me.
This isn't a fucking reality show, get that into your fucking head.
Do you understand me? Yes, staff.
Go!
I think Australia just wants to see
a bit of humility from me, but selfishness has got me here.
That's what I'm pissed off about.
They're like, "Oh, you need to change,
"you need to change."
I'm like fuck.
I've had a pretty good fucking life
so (LAUGHS) do I?
Oh, my fucking god!
Come on, we can play mermaid later.
Let's go, let's go.
I can't run that fast.
You can, you can. Don't say you can't.
Being set on fire right off the bat
you get to find out who's nervous,
who's jittery, who's scared,
who's allowing fear to turn into panic.
Stand there.
Have you ever experienced anything like that before?
Not quite that.
Stand behind your Bergen, facing out towards the water.
So, recruit on fire is to really test the...
the guts of the recruits.
Yes. Disappear.
