The first 200 lines.

Yuno! Yuno!

Wake up or you'll be late for school!

Mom, give me five more min—

I've been here for over a year and I'm still not used to this.

I really miss Mom's miso soup.

Now I'm starting to depress myself a bit.

Back home, I could always hear Mom in the kitchen when I woke up.

Hiro must be cooking.

Did someone just send a fax?

Sae must have spent the whole night working again.

I can even hear Nori and Nazuna watering the tomatoes.

Yunocchi, are you awake?

Morning, Miya! I just woke up!

youki ni kuchibue fuite

Whistling a cheerful tune

madobe no kotori to sesshon

I join the birds chirping by the window

suima ga yatte kite

But fatigue strikes

atama ga drowsy

And leaves me drowsy

nan demo kan demo waraeru nichijou

Everything in life makes me smile

okimari na kishoutenketsu

Nothing really new takes place

demo demo tama ni wa piritto supaisu

But sometimes it's exciting to spice things up

aozora tenki

When the sky's so clear and blue

Where should we go?

Let's stay here

sore wa nani

What's that?

I wanna try that!

ima ni tokubetsu na shirushi

Let's make this moment count

tokeibari no mawashikata watashi shidai kamo

How fast my clock moves is all up to me

shiki oriori iro toridori

With a rich palette of colors from the four seasons

nonbiri na every day

Our laid-back everyday lives can be

pasuteru bibiddo retoro

Any blend of pastel and vivid colors

jibun dake no karaaringu

Anyone can create their own coloring

sono tokidoki mune doki doki

So when your heart races in excitement

hachamecha na taiyou ni oegaki

Just draw a sun at the top

tobidasu aatishizumu

And let your inner artist take you from there

kyun to shite ii kana

Can I set my heart free now?

suki suki suki yo sketch

I've been sketching everything I love

nijiiro ni somete iku yo

And painting them in rainbow colors

All right, I'm off to have some more fun!

May 6th - May 15th

Japan's a small country, so where are you going in such a hurry?

It's so nice out today!

I hope this doesn't take too long to dry.

Yunocchi!

Oh, Miya, what's up?

Come here for a sec.

What's going on?

Don't you think it sounds pretty lively down in Sae's room?

You're right.

Sounds like at least four or five people are down there.

I wonder what they're up to.

I can't really make out what they're saying.

Maybe Sae's acting out five roles by herself?

That would be pretty weird.

Yuno, Miyako... What's the matter?

We're conducting an investigation!

Huh?

Sae seems to have some guests over.

Did she mention anything about that to you?

No.

You can hear them a little from this room, too.

Not again!

N-Nori probably forgot to save her work and ended up deleting her data.

I'll never get used to her doing that.

I-I see.

I don't think that's related to what we're investigating.

Yuno! Oh, and Miyako!

What's up?

Nori, did something happen to the data on your computer?

Oh, you heard me?

Sorry for all the noise.

We're investigating what's going on in Sae's room.

Sae's room?

It does sound pretty noisy despite how early it is.

Why not just go to Sae's room and see for yourself?

I thought I'd gather some information first.

I can't hear much even though we're right next door.

Got any high-tech equipment that'll let me hear what's going on next door clearly?

Did you just ask me for a tapping device?!

One, two... Five in all, I guess.

Looks like Hiro is there, too.

Scheduling... a train?

Cold... hotel?

Um, I probably should've said this earlier, but I don't think we should be doing this.

Well...

We'll just apologize if they find out.

Yeah.

Hey! What are you two snooping around for?!

Sae!

U-Um, we heard a bunch of voices, so we got a little curious.

I'm sorry.

Oh, sorry. Were we being loud?

We'll be done soon.

We don't mind.

Oh, are these two Yuno and Miya?

Y-Yes.

I knew it!

How could you tell?

Well, Sae and Hiro talk about you guys all the time.

Like how you're so cute and—

Ah

See you later.

Take care!

Bye-bye!

A school trip?

Yeah, it's in ten days.

We're trying to decide what our group should do there.

Where are you going?

We're spending three days in Hokkaido.

Sae wants to visit a lavender farm and a music box shop.

Isn't that cute?

H-Hiro, you said you wanted to go there, too!

A honeymoon?

You two are lucky. I've never been to Hokkaido.

I hear it's huge.

Have you ever been there, Yunocchi?

No, I've never been there either.

I'd like to go, though!

If I go to Hokkaido...

I can eat the best baked potatoes in the world with butter, right?

Yeah!

You can get the best scallops with butter, too!

Wow!

So, where did you all go for your school trip back in middle school?

I visited Kyoto and Nara.

I went to Kyoto and Nara in elementary school, then Hiroshima during middle school.

My school went to Destiny Land.

Whoa, Destiny Land! That must've been really nice.

What can you learn at an amusement park?

Huh?

It's got nothing to do with school.

Dizzy ...

Dizzy ...

Nori must've never gone there.

I bet she wants to.

Hey, do you think we'll get to visit Hokkaido, too?

Probably not.

It's different every year.

I don't remember where they went for the last two years.

Well...

Last year was Okinawa,

and the year before that was Korea, wasn't it?

Oh, that's right.

But how did you know that?

Um...

I noticed a lot of Yamabuki students using the Okinawan dialect to greet each other last year

and "Annyeonghaseyo" was popular the year before, so I just put two and two together.

They really left an impression on you, huh?

Nazuna used to live close to the school, after all.

Living nearby

I feel like I need to apologize for some reason.

Good morning, everyone!

As some of you may already know,

the school trip for third-years is right around the corner!

Since they'll be going to Hokkaido, I dressed up as Hokkaido's famous sea urchin!

Oh, but you can't eat what's inside me!

I've prepared a special lesson for today called "The Charms of Hokkaido".

I think it'll be a very enlightening lesson, so please enjoy it!

Carved wooden bears are a symbol often associated with Hokkaido.

Special Program!

The Charms

of Hokkaido

I thought about dressing up as a bear, but given the season,

I'd work up a sweat in no time if I wore fur.

However, if someone really wants to see me dress up,

I'll have the costume ready by the next class!
