before the fashion stop we'll be here

for the next two hours giving you the

play-by-play on all the action tonight

play is a good word because fashion is

my middle name and that's all we've been

doing is playing with all the fashion we

see up close here this is exactly where

happens on the red carpet from fashion

this is us shout to you Golden Globe

nominee honestly just hearing it for the

first time is it's kind of overwhelming

I've never really thought of it in those

terms yeah it's like wilder than

anything I ever could have dreams and

you know what's funny too when you go up

for pilot season you don't know this is

the show yeah that's going to change

everything because I suffered through

three pilots at all act and was

completely heartbroken and crushed and

in fact when I read the script for this

as US I was like you know what what do I

have to lose the script is so fantastic

the writing is remarkable

brilliant it'll be something that all of

us who are lucky enough to be a part of

will be proud of it right so who knows

what happens from there but it's it's

kind of exceeded everyone's wildest

expectation we're so happy for you

the action with the amazing Easter a

star of the insecure series on HBO how

are you Lisa I am doing great I am so

happy to be here yeah I am happy you're

here right now me it is an honor you're

gonna spend on me right now I can't look

at this this beautiful this looks

amazing they look like a queen and and

you are of the star and star of insecure

things so you are the creator and

co-writer of it can you tell me a little

bit more about it I am insecure follows

two black women in LA navigating the

friendship their love lives each other

and I just wanted to do sort of a love

letter to black women and ala and and

keep it true to life you do you do you

keep it true you keep it real I have to

which we all appreciate so keeping it

real where did you start from where did

all this start for you all this started

believe it or not

the internet on YouTube like I uploaded

a video in 2011 and even before that you

know I was making web series since 2007

and 2011 I did a web series called an

awkward black girl and that move up and

it gave me all these other opportunities

in this HBO show and it's amazing and

it's turning out fantastic I'm so happy

for you thank you guys we'll head back

over to the other side of the carpet

what are you doing I'm kind of dying

it's so gorgeous the Golden Globes and

the fashion behind it is probably my

most exciting time of the year even more

exciting is when you find out that

you've been nominated lord I know I

would freak out there's no doubt that

being nominated can be an emotional

roller coaster let's take a look at some
