we conducted an online survey on the internet board of Sketchbook.

Also, the staff sneaked around the cafés near KBS,

drinking about 200 cups of coffee...

in order to collect the data on the frequency...

I'd like you to know that the survey has a sampling error...

of plus or minus 95 percent.

With that data, I created this encyclopaedia about girl groups.

so we're very honoured to be invited on Sketchbook...

as one of the current leading girl groups.

Like you said, it's been less than a year.

Did you know that you'd be loved like this?

Did you think you'd be fairly loved?

When do you feel mostly loved by your fans?

When we walk around on the streets with no makeup on.

JYP Entertainment is located near my house,

and I've really seen them entirely makeup-free.

- People still recognise me... - I saw them like that.

And tell me that they are our fans.

The fact that they recognise me without any makeup on...

indicates how famous we are.

- Is there a huge gap? - Yes.

Even I can't recognise myself.

Na Yeon, I want you to think about this.

Out of all the Korean girl groups...

Since we're here to master them, I'll use a technical term.

Do you know what "Ib-deok" is?

- Yes. - Yes.

The older audience might not know, so explain it to them.

The word "Ib"...

- means "To become". - What about "deok"?

It means "a fanatic".

Okay, so let me put those two together then.

It just means to become a fan.

So why do you think people become your fans?

we each had quite the solid fan base...

thanks to our reality audition show.

We were different from the former girl groups of JYP.

I actually knew that they'd be successful.

I knew that the moment I heard their song because...

their song didn't have Park Jin Young narrating "JYP".

I mean, it had to be a success.

Idol groups are formed to target fans overseas,

and Twice has a lot of members from foreign countries.

you first heard this song?

We heard this song together for the first time...

in our living room.

I honestly didn't think that it was good enough...

to be a massive hit at first.

- We were deeply worried. - I bet you were...

We actually thought it was cheesy.

Thanks to all the love the song received though,

we kept on putting more effort into our performances.

Many songs that were initially viewed as silly or boring...

often make it big in the charts.

The "Shy shy shy" part of this song was the icing on the cake.
