The first 200 lines.

Hello, it's nice to meet you.

Welcome to Sketchbook, everyone.

I'm Yu Hui Yeol.

Let me introduce our first guests.

In the early and mid 2000's, ballad songs were very popular.

Many ballad songs swept various music charts.

Then there was a team...

that introduced sophisticated and sensational music.

Their music freshened our ears and showed us something different.

It's been a long time since we met them on Sketchbook.

Our first guest singers are...

Clazziquai.

It's the first song, so let's have some fun.

Let's go!

Thank you. - Thank you.

"Sophisticated" is the word many people use to describe them.

Please welcome Clazziquai.

Hello. - Hi.

Hello.

Alex, please say hello to the audience.

It's been a while. Hello, I'm Alex.

Hi, I'm Horan.

Hello, I'm Clazzi.

Horan has become even...

more beautiful during their hiatus.

My gosh. Thank you.

We all know how romantic Alex is,

and he's actually currently in a relationship.

That's right. I'm seeing someone.

What a player.

You must be over the moon.

So do you still wash her feet often?

No, of course not.

I don't think I've ever washed her feet.

We go to delicious restaurants on dates...

just like everyone else.

However, I'm 12 years older than her,

so I try to match her needs.

You probably cook for her, too.

Hang on. You're 12 years older than her?

Yes, I am. - He's bragging.

Finally, here's a topic that interests Hui Yeol.

I'm just jealous, that's all.

Anyway, that's why she always has the upper hand.

I do try my best, though.

Well, go all in on her. - I will.

It's amazing how time flies.

I remember what people said when they debuted.

It was back when electronic music was obscure,

but they proved to us that...

it could be Koreanised.

Many viewed them as a breath of fresh air,

and their debut album is ranked...

as one of Korea's top 100 albums.

It's a fact that has always made us proud,

but it's also been a burden for us every time we release...

a new album. - I see.

Our debut album was critically acclaimed,

and many people enjoyed that album...

which of course makes us proud.

However, whenever we record a new album,

we're always haunted by the fact that we have to be better.

I'm worried that people will like our debut album more,

so it's a burden for us at the same time.

What are your thoughts as the creative mind of Clazziquai?

I'm actually over it.

I know that I can't make a better album than our first.

It doesn't matter whether it was a hit or not.

I feel like you're ignoring your duties as a musician...

if you keep on making songs that you used to.

If you want, we could always just sing songs from that album.

Your first album? - You mean "Sweety"?

So no more new songs? - You'll just sing that?

Really? - That's how I feel.

Many have been waiting for this day to come.

Even though recording new songs are a burden for them,

they still released a new album.

We should congratulate them.

Thank you.

So...

how did the sessions go compared to...

your previous albums?

We were quick.

How quick?

The entire album took us about a month and a half to complete.

You completed a studio album in a month and a half?

Yes, from the songs...

to the lyrics and recording of...

the vocals and the instruments.

Basically, there's no depth to it then.

Now, I want to address this question to you two.

You can say that Clazzi is the core of Clazziquai.

He's the producer... - Yes, our core.

and the director of your albums.

So how is he...

as a director when you're recording your songs?

Doesn't he give you weird orders?

That's what directors who can't sing are normally like.

His directions are abstract.

How are they? - He was weird at first.

What would he say? - "Horan, imagine that..."

"you're a 17-year-old girl..."

"who was born and raised in California."

"You love wearing pink t-shirts."

"Your hair comes down to your waist, and you're chewing bubble gum."

"Now sing."

At first, I didn't know how to interpret that,

so it took me a while to grasp his concept.

But now, I find this better to understand.

I'd ask what flavour bubble gum I'm chewing.

Horan is here today as a member of Clazziquai,

but recently she released a solo album.

Both albums were released not so far apart.

Yes, my solo album isn't even a month old.

It was released on August 24 while...

ours was released on September 20.

The release dates aren't even a month apart,

so August for me was hectic.

Didn't you feel bad in any way?

I felt burdened...

because many were anticipating Clazziquai's new album,

and I was worried that my solo album would be forgotten.

However, it turns out that...

I actually get to talk about it more often.

It's all about the freebies, right?

Of course. - That's the beauty of life.

I know I wouldn't have been asked here...

just to showcase my solo album. - That's nonsense.

Let's say that you're on the radio...

and you were allowed to pick one song.

If you could choose any song,

would it be yours or Clazziquai's?

Definitely mine.

Songs by Clazziquai...

don't need my help to be aired on the radio.

However, I need to promote mine in order for it to survive.

It'll be a shame if we only got to hear her sing live on the radio,

so can you sing your song for us today?

I'd appreciate that. - I'd love to hear it.

Thank you.

That was awesome. I really loved it.

Was it all right? - Isn't the first sentence amazing?

"Be anxious." - "I want to make you anxious."

That was the Californian style singing I mentioned earlier.

You mean what we just heard?

That's what I think.

This is what you mentioned. - This was it.

That girl is telling you that she wants to make you anxious.

I recorded in that style after about eight years.

This song is truly amazing. It's much better than your newest song.

How can you say that when you haven't even heard our new song?

I just love it so much.

Look at his face.

All right. It's time to listen to their new song.

Clazzi, tell us about the song.

It's called "Speak of Love".

"Speak of Love". - The title sounds...

quite ambiguous and cryptic, but it's actually...

about unnecessary worries we experience in love relationships.

It's a fun and sweet song.

All right. Clazziquai released this new song after a long hiatus.

With the performance of this song, "Speak of Love",

we'll say goodbye to Clazziquai here. Good luck with your concert.

Thank you! - Thank you.

Thank you. - Thank you.

All right. Let me introduce the next guest to you.

Autumn certainly reminds us of him.

We think of him a lot when the leaves start turning colours.

I say that because his soft, sweet voice used to melt the hearts...

of all ladies, and his song was used to confess love to so many of them.

I haven't seen him in ages, so I was thrilled to see him today.

I saw him briefly in the waiting room earlier.

All right.

The guy who is known for his high falsetto notes...

and for swinging his microphone while singing.

Please give it up for the member of Brown Eyed Soul, Jung Yup.

Nice to meet you all. I'm Jung Yup.

Jung Yup!

Thank you.

He is the sentimental ballad singer, Jung Yup.

Hello, I'm Jung Yup. It's nice to meet you.

I'm really happy to meet you.

He is like a family of Sketchbook.

He appeared on our show whenever we had special episodes.

He spares his precious time for us all the time, including this week.

Now that autumn is here, we wanted to hear his songs.

So we asked him to come, and he actually did.

Please give him a round of applause.

Thank you.

I appreciate...

you having me on the show.

Actually, I turned down your invitation at first...

because I haven't released a new album yet.

I didn't want to come on the show without a new song.

That's why I had to sing "Nothing Better" again.

It was a bit embarrassing. - We don't have a choice.

Really? - I heard Bum Soo sang...

"I Miss You" like 40,000 times.

I'm nothing compared to him. - You haven't done enough.

"Nothing Better" is a great song.
