Yes! Ha, ha!
Over these years, I've watched you all grow as Skylanders,
and I always tried my best to keep you safe.
Sometimes that meant keeping secrets from you.
But that ends today.
You see, there was a time, long ago...
one could say eons ago...
when the original Skylanders patrolled a world perfectly balanced
between the light and the dark.
Kaossandra and I were studying the magic arts together
along with another student, Strykore.
The three of us were inseparable.
But over the years, Strykore grew arrogant and greedy,
striving to find a shortcut to become all-powerful.
His thirst for power led him to find illegal spell books
filled with the worst kind of dark magic.
They corrupted Strykore and warped his mind,
transforming him into pure evil.
He became obsessed with only one goal,
destroying the Core of Light
so that he could finally bathe the Skylands in darkness
and rule over us all.
And so the Skylands became split during the Great War...
between those who chose darkness,
like the Shadow Knights, Pirates, and Drows,
and those of us fighting for good.
In the end, I couldn't bring myself to destroy Strykore.
He meant too much to me.
But for the greater good,
Kaossandra summoned the strength to open a dimensional rift,
and we trapped Strykore inside before he could succeed.
However, the dark magic it took to keep the rift stable all these years
forced Kaossandra to give in to her dark side,
sacrificing herself so that we could all remain safe.
And that is how things remained, until now.
Once again, we find ourselves up against Strykore.
Our old foe, our old friend, and always, my twin brother.
Now you all know the truth.
And together, we will have to do whatever we can
to ensure Strykore's defeat once and for all.
The fate of the entire Skylands, once again, is in our hands.
I don't believe it. You're Strykore's brother.
Which would make you Kaos' uncle?
Wow, birthdays and holidays must be super awkward.
Oh, you have no idea.
And now, with such darkness near the horizon,
we need Spyro's help more than ever.
And it's all my fault that he's missing.
You mustn't blame yourself.
But if I hadn't kept the secret of his ancestors from him for so long,
he never would have gone to face Malefor,
Cynder wouldn't have gone after him,
and both of them wouldn't have been taken.
Well, when you put it like that, I guess it kind of is all your fault.
We're going to be short-handed while I continue to search for Spyro.
Fortunately, Kaossandra is here to help us out in the meantime.
While Kaos may have taken her powers,
her knowledge of Strykore will be indispensable.
Is he for real?
Yeah! Kaossandra, a Skylander. That's crazier than... me.
I mean, she is one of the Skylands' most experienced sorceresses.
Evil sorceress.
It's probably all just a big ploy
so she can infiltrate the Academy for Strykore.
Don't forget how creepy and spooky she's always acting and...
she's right behind me, isn't she?
Oh, good.
I look forward to getting to know all of you very, very closely.
See? That was totally an evil entrance and exit.
Having the power of darkness inside of me is...
awesome.
Yeah, I like this! I like this a lot.
I've gotta say, I am really digging the new me.
This is still my room, you know.
Oh, yeah. And I love what you've done with the place.
I hear the dank sewer motif is in this year.
Don't get too comfortable here.
Now that my father has returned,
he'll be so busy making up for lost time with me,
that he's probably already forgotten you're hanging around.
Sir, Strykore has requested your presence immediately.
See? Strykore wants to see me.
Not some ex-Skylander still fresh out of the evil oven.
Tell Father I will be right there.
Actually, sir, Strykore was referring to... Spyro.
-What? -Ooh!
Burn.
Spyro here, sir.
Evil, malicious and reporting for duty.
Perfect timing, Spyro.
And Kaos.
Now it's time to finish what I started all those years ago.
Destroying the Core of Light.
But first, I will need a tool powerful enough to crack it.
The Iron Fist of Arkus.
I love where your head's at. But where is the Iron Fist?
Forged by the ancient Arkeyans,
the Iron Fist was last seen on the lost island of Arkus.
The location of Arkus
is the most tightly-guarded secret in all of the Skylands.
Passed down from Master Sensei to Master Sensei throughout the ages.
Oh, King Pen.
Yes.
We must find King Pen and bring him here to extract that information.
I love it!
It's got everything an evil plan needs.
Capturing, interrogation, general ne'er-do-welling.
And it's going to take the perfect minion to pull off perfectly.
You're absolutely right, Kaos.
Which is why I'm sending Spyro.
But he's only been evil for, like, five minutes.
I've been evil for way longer than that.
I can personally vouch for that. I have the fractures to prove it.
Sorry, small fry.
But now that I'm one with my dark side,
I am the most capable being in the Skylands.
- -After Strykore, of course.
Oh, please let me go on the mission, too, Father.
Please? Please?
-Please, please, please... -All right, fine.
You can go with Spyro, so long as you stop asking.
Now leave,
and return with King Pen's head on a platter.
Can you help me? I'm lost.
You really snuck up on me there.
Eon gave me a room assignment, but I'm all turned around.
I'm not used to being at the Academy, unless attacking it.
It's over this way. I can show you.
So, I'm looking forward to finally getting to see you in action.
In action? Maybe you haven't heard,
but my son drained me of all my powers.
Eh! That's motherhood for ya.
Powers or not, I'm sure you'll be an integral part of our team.
-Listen. You're a very sweet fairy... -Elf.
...but let's be realistic.
I can't be an integral part of the Skylanders without my powers.
And even if I had them,
I don't think your friends would trust me to use them.
To be fair, they've only known you as our adversary all these years.
I doubt I can convince them otherwise.
I bet if I can help you get your powers back,
you'll feel more at home here.
And I know the others will accept you
when they see how you can use your powers for good.
-You'd do that for me? -Sure. Why not?
Plus, maybe it'll cheer you up
so you can stop looking so scary all the time.
Father will be so proud of me
when I bring him King Pen's head on a platter.
You actually brought a platter?
You do know it's a figure of speech, right?
Ahem.
Looking for me?
He's already blindfolded.
It's like he wants us to kidnap him.
I've spent the last year with this blindfold on
so as to heighten my other senses.
Now even without sight,
-you'll be no match for me. -
This is going to be so easy.
I wouldn't be so sure.
What are ya, scared of the big, bad, blind penguin?
No wonder Father wanted me to come along.
Okay, come on, bird-brain. You're coming with... ugh!
Feel free to jump in anytime.
Ugh!
"Appear weak when you are strong and strong when you are weak."
This is the way of the Great Sensei Pen...
Maybe my senses still need some work.
Well, that wasn't so hard, was it?
Oh, here it is.
Pop's patented power potion.
The only one of its kind.
A unique blend of Elvish tree sap, gargoyle's blood, eye of newt, and milk.
Oh! Ptt! I can't drink that.
I'm strictly dairy-free.
But it's the only power potion we have.
Do you want to see me gassy and bloated?
Next!
I borrowed Sprocket's power transporter
which will allow me to transfer some of my teleportation abilities to you.
Okay, give your powers a try.
Where the heck am I?
Great. I have the power to randomly teleport other people.
Try to send him back.
Gary, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be mowing the lawn.
I swear, I was teleported against my will.
Ha! Always an excuse with you, Gary!
I think we've been going about this the wrong way.
We just need to summon your memories of your powers
by putting you in a situation where you're forced to use them.
And what better place to start than your flying powers?
I can think of a few.
Oh, don't worry, it's just like riding a bike.
A really, really tall bike.
Kaossandra!
Oh, my gosh, it worked. You got your flying power back.
