The first 200 lines.
- I'm nearly there! - We've gotta go!
- Don't go! - Get off!
Get down!
I'm scared that next time I step up to a device
I'm not gonna know what I'm doing.
You've just lost your mate. Give yourself a break.
Who's that?
Uh, it's just Danny. Some stupid GIF.
You know, I've been thinking about it for a while.
Might be an idea for you to move in here with me, you know.
You working?
Is he bollocks.
It's just tough at the minute.
Look at the bloody state of you.
A halal butcher's?
Don't mention this to Mum and Dad.
What are you doing, Billy?
- We're at war, Lana. - You haven't got a clue.
What do you know about war?
Single bombing campaign run by one group: the Crusaders.
We know at least one member of the cell, Nic Roberts.
Nic Roberts didn't have bomb-making training.
There's another member of the cell: the bomb maker.
It's HMX-319.
How the hell are the bombers getting military-grade explosive?
What does the CCTV
from the tower block tell us?
This is him leaving the building.
From there he gets into a white Prius.
But we're still searching for the vehicle.
Look at this from the first device at Westhaven.
It's the same technique.
It's military training.
They know call-out times, how we think,
how we move, everything.
It's got to be an inside man.
The suspect shot dead in the terror attack
at the Five Oaks Pub in London
has been named today as Nicholas Roberts,
a former member of the English Flag.
Counter-terror police are appealing
for anyone with information to come forward.
This attempt on an LGBT venue
follows attacks by the so-called Crusaders
on the Amburiq Mosque and Westhaven Estate.
- Speak to the jogger. - Find out if she saw anything.
- Here you go. - Thanks.
Okay.
Prelim report from forensics says there's no fingerprints,
no evidence of the second Crusader,
but the vehicle make and model
match the one detected on CCTV leaving Fairhall Tower.
Plates were taken and the VIN removed from the chassis.
So the guy's a pro. What about CCTV?
We're in a black hole here.
That's why it's so popular with doggers.
We didn't lucky to find some couple?
No one that's likely to come forward.
Detectives.
Sonya, anything useful?
Well, from the blast pattern and the intense local burning,
looks like some sort of accelerant
was used for the interior.
- Hey. - Hi.
And then a det charge on the petrol tank.
So our man isn't taking any chances.
What kind of accelerant?
Well, I'll do a deep dive,
but I'd say good old petrol.
There's nothing exotic to trace.
So the use of a det charge,
does that suggest he could be the bomb maker?
Well, you can teach anyone to use a det charge.
It's making it that's harder.
Okay, I'm gonna head back to Five Oaks.
- Is there anything else? - No.
When I get a report on the accelerant
I'll let you know if anything comes up.
- Can I have a word? - Yeah.
So, how are we getting on?
The HMX? Porton Down?
Uh, I've sent it on. We're looking at it.
Well, I think this will speed things up.
That's how professionals tie their wires.
Yeah.
Well, we found the same pattern in all three devices.
And that's why you think it was one bomber for all three?
I found that in John Hudson's locker.
What are you doing in his locker, Lana?
Christ.
It's a breach of confidence,
not to mention it makes any evidence inadmissible.
Yeah, obviously I know that. Just hear me out, yeah?
Hidden in the back of his locker
is an A-Z of London covering these locations:
Five Oaks Pub, Westhaven, Amburiq Mosque.
Come on, Thom. Are you gonna help me or not?
Yeah, all right. Okay.
You did the right thing, bringing this to me. I'll, uh...
I'll take care of it.
Right, well, I'll text you the pictures.
- Yeah, all right. - All right.
I'll see you in a bit.
Hello?
Hi, is that Lana Washington?
Yeah, speaking.
This is DC Jones.
Your brother William has failed to attend
a further interview at Holloway Police Station.
He's not turned up?
There's not much I can do about that, sorry.
It's in his best interest to cooperate
with these additional inquiries.
- If he doesn't... - No. No, no, it's fine.
I'll bring him in myself. Okay.
Okay, thank you.
- Thanks, bye. - Goodbye.
God's sake.
Eh up, it's Billy. Um...
Leave me a message. I'll get back to you.
Billy, I'm at your flat.
You were meant to have an appointment with the police today.
Billy!
Will you call me? I ain't got time for this shit.
The situation with the far right in this country
is very fluid.
When Agatha Jack attempted to reform English Flag last year
there were 100 expulsions from the party
for extremist views.
Names on a list that were easy for us to monitor.
So we think the far right changed tactics.
They started to look at people without criminal convictions
or a history of far right activism, clean skins,
to target the disillusioned,
the unemployed, the left behind,
and to groom them for political ends.
So to restate our current thinking,
the initial attack on Westhaven
was a false flag operation by the Crusaders
to justify their attack on the Amburiq Mosque.
Andrew Phelan was chosen as the unwilling victim
for the Westhaven attack because Nic Roberts
had some kind of personal grudge against him.
Do we know what that was?
From our interviews with Phelan
we've established that Roberts mistakenly believed
Phelan had been deliberately placed in his cell by MI5
to gather intel on the far right.
We're working through a database of suspects
supplied by Thames House that had history with Nic Roberts,
and examining CCTV and comms for any new associations.
We've had the preliminary results of Nic Roberts autopsy,
and it seems that he was in the advanced stages
of terminal prostate cancer,
which might explain why he was prepared
to act as a suicide bomber.
Lana, I read your report on the Five Oaks.
Again, well done.
You seem certain that we're looking for the same bombers
for all three attacks.
Uh, no sir, not certain.
But I think it's highly likely that we're looking
for just one bomber.
We've identified three distinct elements.
One, the chemical composition of the device, HMX-319.
Which has been reported as classified at Porton Down.
Uh, we're tracing that now, sir.
Working theory is that some of the explosive
found its way on to the dark web.
Two, the method of delivery:
the repeated use of secondaries.
And three,
with the reconstruction of the devices
we've been able to identify
a distinct signature in the wiring.
And does that tell us anything about the bomb maker?
That they've had high-level military training.
This considerably raises the threat level.
I've got an example here from the device.
May I?
That technique is durable. It prevents snagging.
An EXPO can quickly check for damage
without pulling the whole thing apart.
This is not something just anyone can do.
When was this report submitted, Thom?
Ms. Washington only made the discovery about the wiring
earlier today, ma'am.
We're now looking through official databases
to see if we can identify any persons of interest.
We're keeping an open mind.
We're looking at former English Flag members
who may have had some level of training.
TA, paramilitary.
Lana, I'm not doubting that you recognise this technique,
but why would the bombers choose
to advertise who they were so clearly?
Unless it's a ruse to throw us off track.
The false flag attack at Westhaven
shows they use misdirection.
Finishing a wire like this is second nature.
