I'm happy that Dan and Shay are here as our first duo coaches.

Dan is a great producer.

Shay is one of the best vocalists I've sung with.

They represent the way country has been lately,

dabbling in different styles,

collaborating with artists from other genres.

I think Dan and Shay are going to be really good coaches,

but Team Legend's gonna win.

We're both such huge fans of The Voice ,

and to be able to help somebody get to the next level

is something that we've always wanted to do,

and I'm honored to be sitting in this iconic red chair

and we got two of them.

and I'm from Hanford, California,

but I'm based in Nashville, Tennessee.

I was for a while, I got kicked out.

But then also, like, The Chicks. You know, I love it all.

As you can see, with a four-chair turn,

like, you had an amazing performance.

You were poised, you were ready for it.

You were just so connected through the whole performance.

I heard in your voice the crackle, the tone, the rasp.

It was just so interesting and cool,

and it felt like you were letting your tone, like,

do the talking for you.

People have soul that don't sing soul music all the time,

but you have soul.

That's, like, for sure.
